I’ll have a side of sweet potatoes with my brownie. Really?? Never in my life would I have uttered the words sweet potato and brownies in the same sentence let alone in the same baking mix! But there’s a brownie mix out there with Sweet Potatoes in it — and my picky family got a chance to try them out.
Thursday will be here before you know it. I am assigned to bake gluten-free pumpkin and apple pies. But do you have all the ingredients you need and are they safe? I’ve got a few reminders so you can save yourself from a last-minute rush to the store.

When it was time this fall to make some gluten-free holiday cookies to share with other celiac families, I was stumped. I didn’t want to just do the same thing over and over again (sugar cookies or holiday wreaths). But then I found the right recipe…which became an adventure in baking for me…
