If you have recently received a gluten free diagnosis, deciding to go gluten free or maybe you have a family member that was newly diagnosed with celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity — if so, the gluten free classes I am teaching this winter are for you.
I am doing five individual classes, all based in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities area. Most classes are happening in February and one is in March. The classes are looking at the very basics of starting and maintaining a healthy gluten free lifestyle. This includes looking at:
- What gluten is
- What safe and unsafe ingredients in a gluten free diet are
- How to read labels and look for red flag ingredients (including information on the FDA’s new gluten free labeling rule)
- Eliminating cross contamination in your kitchen/Making your kitchen gluten free friendly
- Gluten free holiday tips
- Going out to eat at a restaurant
There are many resources in the Twin Cities metro area and we’ll get you connected with them as well.
