As soon as we arrived at Old Chicago in Uptown Minneapolis, our friends already had a table and had given a head’s up to our server about us needing a gluten-free meal. What our server didn’t know was that I had prearranged our meal already. How did it go at this restaurant known for it’s gluten-filled pizzas and calzones? Plus some insight on how Old Chicago handles gluten-free diets.

Meeting a group at a restaurant that may not be gluten-free friendly is tough, but you may be able to make it work. Here’s how I handled the “prep work” today before a dinner tonight…I’ll follow up with how it went.
