Someone pass me a turkey drumstick, french fries and a brownie and I’ll finish it all off with a nice cold beer! Now that screams Americana, summer — and gluten free! Yes I said gluten free! You can find all of the above foods gluten-free at the Minnesota State Fair which is going on now until Labor Day.
The Northland Celiac Support Group has done a fantastic job collecting information from food companies about what they have that we can eat! The list is actually huge…so huge you might have to go back for a second day — just to try different foods!
Print the list from Northland’s website before you head out to the fair so you know which foods you’re grabbing, or check out the group inside the HealthFair 11 building. They share a space with the Anaphylaxis and Food Allergy Association of Minnesota (AFAA) to promote safe eating at the fair. Be sure you sign up for the free drawings for gluten-free food while you’re there!
