If you are into gluten-free events, news and products coming up, here are a few highlights of how you can get in-the-know on all things gluten-free.
October 12: Gluten Free Lifestyle Conference and Fair
This coming Saturday there is a Gluten-Free Lifestyle Conference and Fair put on by the Celiac Sprue Association in Omaha, Nebraska. They will have a vendor fair and a panel of experts to discuss the hot topics in celiac disease and gluten-free. Click here for more information on this event.
October 12: Gluten Free Expo
The Gluten-Free Expo is happening in Salt Lake City. And is listing over 125 vendors. See the vendor list here. It charges $8 per person or $28 for a family of 4. Plus, kids ages 8 and under get in free. This would be a great opportunity to really get bang for your buck. A lot of vendors means you save money by trying BEFORE you buy! October 18: University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center Fundraiser in NYC
Next week the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center is hosting its first fundraiser in New York City! Sounds like a cool bash the lower priced ($15 & $20 tickets) are sold out. But the $25 tickets are still available. 100% of the proceeds going right to the University’s Celiac Disease Center.
The party includes all gluten-free food, raffle, live entertainment, plus an open vodka bar for the first hour. It is happening Friday, October 18th at EVR Lounge. Click here to purchase your ticket.
October 26 & 27: Gluten and Allergen Free Expo
This one is happening in Dallas! I attended the one in Chicago last April as an official blogger for the event (photo above). The GF/AF Expo has speakers and a significant expo with more than 100 vendors. If you are in that area or can get there and haven’t been to an expo before. This would be a good one to check out. You can purchase tickets here.
November 1 & 2: Gluten Intolerance Education Conference
If you have been reading up on the International Celiac Disease Symposium, you’ll want to know that two of the speakers from that big event will be at the Gluten Intolerance Group’s (GIG) Education Conference in Fargo, North Dakota on November 1 and 2, 2013.
Dr. Alessio Fasano, from the Center for Celiac Research in Boston, and Cynthia Kupper, GIG‘s Executive Director were at ICDS and will be speaking at this upcoming event. PLUS! Our friend Jules Shepard of Jules Gluten Free will be there doing cooking and baking tips in her vendor area.
Registration for the full conference is $160 (or $100 on Saturday only), or it is $5 per person for the vendor expo. This is a great opportunity for folks to learn much more about celiac disease and gluten intolerance. Click here to see the conference brochure.
