When a Snowstorm Hits, Gluten-Free Baking Goes into Full Gear!
December 12, 2010 by Amy Leger | G+ Amy LegerSome of you may have had the same hankering I did this weekend — holiday baking! But for me it was because we were snowed in. No one was going anywhere! At our house we believe we got about 14 inches of snow.
So my youngest daughter Grace and I took out the tools and the ingredients to do a gluten-free baking fest! We made cake-like sugar cookies, cut-out sugar cookies and Nestle Toll House Cookies* — All Gluten-Free! All totaled, we made about 12 dozen cookies (see photos below). Most went in the freezer for Christmas celebrations with my very gluten-free side of the family. I really feel in the holiday spirit! But now I just need to get the gift shopping done. Hmm.
*See tomorrow’s post on how I adapted this recipe to make it gluten-free!
