By the time you read this, I could very well be elbow deep into gluten-free stuffing land. Last month I asked for your suggestions for gluten-free stuffing recipes and I have picked five that I will be cooking Friday.
Thursday I spent my first two hours of my day shopping for apples, onions, gluten-free bread and seasonings. Then I made two loaves of my own bread. Hopefully we’ll have enough to get us through those recipes.
On Friday, my mom will come help me in this so-called “cook-fest”. I asked her to come and help, in part because she’s a great cook, and also because I’ve never made a stuffing from scratch before. Plus, let’s admit it, cooking five stuffings in one day is a lot of work for one person who could easily screw something up in the kitchen!
So the goal Friday: Five stuffings done in one day. The taste test at dinner by the whole family. Winner gets their recipe posted on my blog and it is handed out at the Gluten-Free for the Holidays class I’m teaching at the Linden Hills Co-op on October 20th. The Co-op is also donating a fabulous prize to the winner!
