Nature’s Path continued it’s voluntary recall this week with several products, including the EnviroKidz Organic Crispy Rice Peanut Choco Drizzle Bars. This recall, as with the one last week, is connected to the peanut/peanut butter recalls happening nationwide as a result of salmonella contamination related to the Peanut Corporation of America.
The Food and Drug Administration issued a news release on the recall today. It includes products sold in the US and Canada. If you have this product, you are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. No known illnesses have happened as a result of this product.

I find Matt’s Bar at 35th and Cedar have the best gluten-free fries. The way I know they are gluten-free is nothing else goes in the fryer but fries and I have never had a reaction to them. I am extremely sensitive.
I also love their Juicy Lucy with no bun. Again, when they put any bread for a grilled sandwich on the grill, they put it in a special area. So, the Juicy Lucy is not contaminated. Since Matt’s is a few blocks from my house, they know me there and they know about the gluten issue. Although called a “bar”, it is a great family place too. They do serve beer (not gluten-free), wine, and soda pop.
