If you ever doubted the high cost of gluten-free specialty foods, a relatively new study out of Canada slaps us all in the face with the incredible cost of those foods. Sometimes you have no choice but to buy them (gluten-free pretzels/pasta/pizza), but this post looks at other ways to save on gluten-free food and my theory on why it’s all so expensive.

Proof to never let your gluten-free guard down. Just when you thought it was safe to judge food from the gluten-free identifier on the shelf, think again. This luxury of a gluten-free product sticker on the shelf, identifying gluten-free items, was incorrect for the first time I’ve ever seen; incorrectly marking a product that had wheat — as gluten-free.
New information just came out today about some mainstream products that are no longer gluten-free.
